Sounds like a film title doesn't it? Following the fiasco of the recent road repair I lodged a formal complaint with Amey (the contractor). Two different dates were advertised for the works, the works then took place on a different date few people knew about. Amey's response can be viewed here.

Please note that Wymans Lane and Hyde Lane will be closed in the proximity of the railway bridge 14th to 16th December 2016 (NOTE REVISED DATE) to enable road resurfacing to take place.
