Parish Council Meetings
The council normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month, twelve months a year at 7:30pm in the lounge area of the Village Hall (but check the agenda). The public are welcome to observe the meetings of Swindon Parish Council. In addition, each meeting has a public session during which members of the public can raise issues with their councillors. In exceptional circumstances the council may need to exclude the public for part of a meeting when a confidential matter is discussed. This is very rare and would normally be indicated on the agenda of the meeting.
This page gives access to the documents related to the Parish Council's recent meetings. Note that it is standard practice to publish the minutes as unconfirmed drafts. At the next meeting the council decides whether the clerk has accurately recorded the proceedings and may ask for corrections to be noted.
Consideration of planning applications is a major part of the Parish Council's business. Here is a list of planning applications with links to the actual documents on the Borough Council website.
