Parish Council meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic

The law has been temporarily changed to allow parish council meetings to be conducted by audio or video link with participants not in the same physical location. NALC guidance has been issued.

Parish Councils are normally required to hold an annual meeting of the council during May and elect a chairman for the coming year. The law also required an annual meeting of the parish electors to take place between 1st March and 1st June. Both of these requirements have been suspended.
