News on our Local Green Space

Cheltenham Borough Council will be looking to approve the Cheltenham Local Plan this afternoon (14th October). The Local Plan contains details of proposed Local Green Space (LGS), including our own. The Planning Inspector who has been examining the Local Plan has been very critical of the proposed areas of Local Green Space. She has described them as too extensive and inadequately justified. However, in respect of our LGS her post-hearing advice to the Borough Council states "However, in view of the scale of new and existing development which it would serve and the buffer which would be provided between the existing and new housing, I consider the area to be justified".
