Helen Wells

Councillor Helen Wells has loved living in Swindon Village for 16 years. She lives here with her husband Rich and daughter Emma. They came here when Emma was a baby! It’s a beautiful place, with a lovely community that she is so proud to support as a Parish Councillor for many years.
Helen works full time for Mondelēz International as a Global Partner Manager which means that she is responsible for their global IT services which are outsourced to global partner suppliers. It’s a demanding senior position with some irregular hours, meeting virtually with teams and colleagues all over the world. Luckily, she works mainly from home, allowing the flexibility to balance work, home and Parish Council duties. Her office is now at the Cadbury Factory in Bournville so when she is there, Helen is able to visit the Cadbury staff shop to buy some bargain chocolate.
Helen also runs the Save the Countryside Campaign group fighting to protect our green space around the village. She is delighted with the progress the group has made over the last 15 years. The group is now focussing on the best use and maintenance for the Local Green Space that we have saved around our village and all the green areas within the forthcoming Elms Park development.
In her spare time she loves looking after 3 cats and 3 rabbits and walking in the countryside. Helen loves to travel and throw a good party at home, having enjoyed many annual gatherings in her garden with family, friends and neighbours.
