The Annual Parish Meeting was held via Zoom on Tuesday 4th May 2021 commencing at 7:30pm.
Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part Brockhampton Lane from outside the property known as Hyde Brook to its junction with Quat Good Lane for a distance of approximately 829 metres. The reason for the closure is for renewing the level crossing equipment.
Swindon Lane will be closed from its junction with Wymans Lane to outside number 34 for a distance of approximately 97 metres. The reason for the closure is for level crossing maintenance works.
On the 6th May polls will take place for our County Councillor (representing the St. Paul's and Swindon Electoral Division), for one of our two Borough Councillors (representing the Swindon Village Ward) and for the Police and Crime Commissioner. Please see the notices of poll for details.

The County Council has announced its intention to close some local roads for resurfacing, including Mandarin Way and Seneca Way.
Polling will take place on 6th May 2021 for Borough and County Councillors and the Police and Crime Commissioner. Nomination papers are available for those wishing to stand.
The crossing has been closed for a considerable time. It is due to reopen from 5th April but there will continue to be disruption as work continues to test the level crossing and replace signals.
In the March edition of the Village News there was a request for new trustees from the above organisation.
